Infrequently youngsters will express an interest in exercising. It could be because of a weight issue that they are being teased about, either too heavy or too skinny, or it may be that they are natural athletes and have a powerful natural drive toward physical fitness.
Exercising is Good
There are differing beliefs on the subject of childhood workouts, and very adamant viewpoints and debates on each side of the issue. The reality is, exercising is good for any body. Movement is life and bodies are designed to move. Inactivity ultimately results in disease, even in children. So there is no longer any question that children need to exercise.
Children Are Different
That having been said, there are just a few likenesses between how an adult should exercise and how a child should. Adults put themselves on programs, follow a regimen, and pursue very specific goals in terms of their workout programs.
What About Playing?
The best source of exercise for children is play. Fifty years back most children played outside each day, often for hours. Children’s outdoor games always included running or riding a bike and there was no need for any other type of exercise for a child.
So before you consider getting your child involved in an adult style regime like weight lifting or using an exercising machine, consider an effective and natural alternative. Go outside and play with them, not with any physical fitness objective in mind , but just to have a good time.
The Best Exercise
I recollect that the best exercise I ever got in my life, as an adult or a kid, came at those times when I was playing and laughing so hard that my muscles were sore the day after. There isn't any better exercise for an adult or a kid than that, and because a kid is unlikely to stick with a discipline based workout schedule, it’s the best choice.
